Ahhhhh….the weather here has been in the 80’s during the day. It has been a little humid, too. It’s not my favorite weather but driving home from work the other day, I noticed the beautiful spring flowers beginning to flair and I love it!
Azaleas, dogwood, Bradford Pear trees, jasmine and more all brilliantly coloring the landscape. I love March. The hummingbirds will be coming back soon so I bought some sugar the other day to get the feeders ready.
The only problem with this time of year is that it gets me excited about being outdoors again and sometimes I jump ahead and plant something when I should wait until after Easter. Then, typically, the last frost is gone.
The leaves that fell out of the oak trees landed nicely against the base of my tender perennials keeping them preserved until the frosts are gone. I noticed some of them sprouting yesterday.
The days are getting longer as well. I am ready to get outside! March on!
