This week at work, I was working on accounts payable. It was brought to my attention, by my boss, that I had been sending the checks to the wrong place. For the past year. Talk about wanting to crawl into a hole and die!
Fortunately, the money had been credited to an account we were supposed to be making payments on so all’s well that ends well.
It just made me realize that I cannot do my job without guidance from the Lord. Anytime I get into my groove of pride and want to pat myself on the back for a “job well done,” I get a little nudge like this and am humbled. We all make mistakes.
Admitting mistakes and learning from them keeps us humble. Being humble keeps us teachable. And that’s a good thing.
